Dr. Beatrice Egid
Researcher
Beatrice has just completed her PhD in Global Health at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. Her research uses predominantly qualitative and participatory methods to explore complex questions in global health, focusing on themes including health equity, urbanisation, informality and multi-sectoral collaboration. With a background in tropical disease biology, much of Beatrice's research so far has focused on mosquito-transmitted diseases in low-income settings, but she has also worked on UK-based research projects on youth mental health and place-based programme evaluation. Beatrice is passionate about participatory research approaches and centering community voices in health research, with a particular interest in the impact of power dynamics on co-production research, and co-founded the 'Connecting Citizens to Science' podcast with Dr. Kim Ozano.
